R.I.P. Grandpa Farrimond

The world has lost one of the most amazing men. This world will be a very different place without my Grandpa Farrimond. On November 25, 2009, my grandpa Johnnie slipped away quietly in his sleep after many many years of fighting. He is now free of pain and how thankful I am that he slipped away and did not have to fight his way out of this life as well. My grandpa never referred to my as "Brittany" I was his "Brittany Brat" and I will miss hearing that. After many visits to him and realizing after all these years that time was getting much shorter with him. I wanted nothing more than for his face to light up and him to holler "My Brittany Brat" and I got that. My last visit to see him as I walked in the door he sat in the upright position, full of color and full of smiles for me and I heard... "My Brittany Brat where have you been?" It was tears of happiness rather than tears of sadness that I experienced. He sat and for the first time in months had a conversation with me and I felt like my wishes had all been granted. As I left his house that day my grandma was talking about my weight loss and from the porch I hear.. " Rolls are not on the diet.. No rolls for you Brittany Brat.. No rolls for you".. Thanksgiving day would have never been the same without him teasing me about eating all the rolls. Even though he teased EVERY single year about me eating all the rolls.. he was always the first one to pass me the bowl. I loved my grandpa and will miss him very much.

As we sat together as a family it was said that David came and took Grandpa to be with him during this next week. I truly believe that. After two and a half years we are finally scheduled to go to trial on Monday morning for David's Murder. As grandma has the whole family to support her David had no one in heaven to hold his hand, so he came and took Grandpa back with him. So as we lay my grandpa to rest on Monday morning he is now with David and can support him through the next week of challenges.

Grandpa, I will miss your smiles and your voice. I am so thankful that you are finally free of pain. I just wish you were still here with us and free of pain. I will miss you more that words can express and will carry you in my heart for the rest of my life. R.I.P. Grandpa I love you forever and always.

Happy Birthday Tyler!!!

Twelve years ago today my beautiful baby boy came into my life. He was such a wonderful baby too! As he grew older he was so sweet and innocent and was so easily entertained. He was always going to be my baby.. until yesterday.. He decided he was too cool to hang with his mommy and he chose to go to Classic to see the "Hot Chics" rather than go to dinner with him mom. Today I look at him and it brings tears to my eyes knowing that he is no longer a baby.. and as time goes on he will slip further away from me. I love you Tyler and I want you to know.. even if you don't want to be you will always be my baby boy! I hope you have a great day and I hope you enjoy your trip to Disneyland and Arizona. Happy Birthday Peanut!!!!

Headed to Disneyland!!

Can I just start by saying how jealous I am.. My Blue Eyed babies are leaving me and heading to Disneyland. It is once again time for Tyler to go off track and for them to go to Arizona and visit their dad. However, this time will be extra special as they spend a week at the happiest place on earth!! Grandma and Grandpa Lund are the greatest. I am sure it will be a fun time! They will also spend Thanksgiving with their grandparents, great grandparents, Aunt Cindy & Bill, and of course their dad. I hope they have a blast!! I love you to infinity and back and I will sure miss you both!! I hope you have the an amazing time!

Our Puppy!

So I finally did it, I gave in and let the kids get a dog. After years of saying "I will not have a dog in my house" we have a dog in the house. Sophee is her name and she is a 10 week old Boston Terrier. She is wonderful.. she has brought so much happiness to our home in the short time she has been here it amazes me. The kids love her and have done a great job helping with her.

Nationals...

Nationals start today.. and I am SO excited!!! Outdoor racing started the beginning of May and Tyler has done well.. he has stayed consistent with his 2 place finish (Kingston and Tyler have battled it out for a long time.. and King deserves the wins he has been getting) Tyler often has to remind me that racing is for fun and not all about winning.. I admit I tend to forget some nights. Hailee has decided that she is to much of a princess to hang out at the track.. So it has become very difficult to handle her while Tyler is racing. There are so many people from out of town at the track already it is going to be crazy.. Tear it up Tyler.

National Weekend is always very crazy.. but it is a party and it is going to be a blast. I will post the results on Sunday or Monday.. enjoy your weekend.. and if your interested in coming out and checking out the action give me a call!

Birthday Wishes..

I just wanted to say thanks to all my great friends and family for the overwhelming amount of birthday wishes. Saturday was a very lazy day for me. I worked around the house to get the kids packed and ready to go see their dad in Arizona. I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at my favorite Mexican restraunt Cafe Silvestre with my kids and the Shephard family. Then hung out at home and chatted with Carol and Cassidy. Oh and I can not forget the Cream Cheese covered Brownies (best brownies you will ever eat) that we enjoyed instead of cake. It was a great day. All the texts, phone calls, cards and gifts were much appreciated. Thanks again and I love you all!

What a wonderful day!

Today was a beautiful day and as always we spend it outside enjoying the sun! We loaded up and headed to Herriman bright and early this morning and spent the day doing what the kids love to do! Many of our BMX friends joined us and it turned out to be a great day of riding and pictures! Much better than getting sucked into chic flicks on Lifetime..

Hailee is entertaining herself by having her own personal photo shoot!

Tyler clearing the box.. with his butt hanging out.. seriously need to loose the girl pants.. this mom does not like them!!!

The Haymond boys joined us in our Sunday adventure to the park. I love these boys as my own. Fantastic kids!

Zac pulling some awesome tricks coming out of the bowl.

Tyler gasping for some air..

Tyler jumping out of the bowl.
Hailee just doing her own thing.. She was in every one's way and did not care a bit!

Tyler killing the box on AJ's bike.

I hope that we are able to enjoy this great weather for many days to come.

Mommies don't have it easy..

As the cold weather continues to haunt us, and we have all suffered from one sickness or another this past week. I have decided I am sooooo ready for spring/summer. Ready to start Outdoor racing and hit the skateparks. Something to occupy the kids that they enjoy, something that will offer me a little peace and quiet.

So today is the first day in 8 days that the three of us have all got up and ready for the day feeling good/functionable. Until.. Hailee realized it was a school day... oh my you would have thought the world was about to end. She kicked, screamed, hit and scratched as I worked patiently (which does not happen often, better yet on a Monday morning) to get her sassy little self dressed for the day. The harder I tried to calm her the worse it got.. so I carried her to the car in "AS IS CONDITION". As I drive to the daycare at 7 A.M in the snow with her screaming "I hate you" and "You are mean" I decided Mommies don't have it easy... Someone tell me this will get better! Today was the begining of a great week in my mind. I got up at 4:30 to hit the gym and sauna and was feeling great about the day. Then the winter beast (Hailee) awoke and ruined my day!!

Spring/Summer... I am begging you please come soon and grant me some much needed sunshine and peace!

The Wedding

Mr & Mrs Dustin and Heather Farrimond

The wedding was beautiful. Dusty and Heather were both stunning and are so happy.

It brought tears to my eyes to see my babies all dressed up and ready to walk the isle for uncle Dusty.

Can not leave myself out.. as one of the Bridesmaids. It was a beautiful day and turned out very well. I wish them the best in their future together.

The BIG DAY!!

So we are just three days away from Dustin's wedding. This is a huge day for our family and for Dustin and Heather. I am so nervous about this that I am losing sleep over it. Tyler is the "Ring Bearer", Hailee and Heather's niece Ava are the "Flower Girls" and I am a bridesmaids. So wish us all the best at making it down the isle as planned.

I hope that you have found true happiness and that your life is all you had hoped for. Having you as my brother has brought much happiness to my life and to my kids lives. I love you dearly. ~Tyler and Hailee~

These two are the joy in my life. I can tell you they are a hand full at times but would not have it any other way!! Love you both

Welcome to our blog!!

I have been working to create this blog since before Christmas and today I decided to get with it. My intentions are to share our fun times with our family and friends. Tyler, Hailee and I spend most of our time doing BMX stuff (skate park and racing) So the majority of our fun will lead you to either the track or the skate park. I hope you enjoy it and I hope I can keep up with it.
